THE FACILITY<\/em><\/p><\/h1><\/div> Thank you to all donors of the softball facility project for their generous contributions to Virginia Softball and the future of this program.<\/p>\n Palmer Park, the home of Virginia Softball, was dedicated in March of 2020 and is located at the corner of Massie and Copeley Roads. The goal was to create both a compelling team and spectator experience, with the benefit of having the other shared athletic facilities nearby.<\/p>\n<\/div> (click to enlarge)<\/p>\n<\/div> (click to enlarge)<\/p>\n<\/div> \u201cIt\u2019s important for any of our student-athletes or any of our students to make sure that they have a great facility to maximize their potential to learn, grow, develop, get better, and so this facility will certainly help our softball student-athletes thrive,\u201d says UVA athletics director Carla Williams.<\/p>\n<\/div> This project was based on the UVA athletics department\u2019s goal to build and maintain the highest quality facilities in the country with the purpose of attracting and developing the best student-athletes to the University annually.
