YOUNG ALUMNI
The Virginia Athletics Foundation’s Young Alumni Program allows recent graduates to directly impact Virginia Athletics through giving, while taking advantage of a dollar-for-dollar match. Simply put, the VAF matches giving credit for every Annual Fund dollar contributed by young alumni. For example, with a $350 gift to the VAF, the VAF will “match” the gift dollar-for-dollar, giving benefits and priority points for a $700 gift.
For the 2017 Virginia Athletics Foundation giving year (January 1-December 31, 2017), young alumni include: alumni with an undergraduate degree from UVA in 2014, 2015, 2016 or 2017, and alumni with a graduate degree from UVA in 2016 or 2017.

VAF matches giving credit for every dollar contributed by Young Alumni. VAF will match up to $5,000 of a young alumnus’ contribution.
HOO CREW SABRE POINTS
Beginning with the Class of 2017, graduates who make a minimum donation of $50 to the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) will receive all VAF Young Alumni Program benefits and have 20% of the sabre points as listed in their UVA Shots account at graduation converted into VAF priority points. This opportunity only applies to undergraduate students who receive a diploma from the University of Virginia.
Donors to the VAF earn priority points that are used to determine their overall ranking among all VAF members. VAF uses priority points when assigning both ticket and parking locations. Priority points are recalculated each year and are activated when a current year Annual Fund pledge is made. All sabre points converted will live forever in the VAF priority point system.

A VAF donation must be made in the same calendar year as graduation for the sabre points to be converted. For example:
May 2017 graduates must make a donation between January 1, 2017-December 31, 2017
December 2017 graduates must a donation between January 1, 2017-December 31, 2017
How it works: John Smith graduates in May 2017 with 195 sabre points. After making a donation in the calendar year (2017) to the VAF of $50, John becomes a VAF Member* and will receive the following:
Young Alumni dollar-for-dollar match credit and VAF priority points for a $100 donation
195 sabre points converted to 39 VAF priority points
*Any individual that makes a donation to VAF becomes a VAF Member.
Timeline/Important Dates:

| July 22 | Fans requesting to purchase 2017-18 men’s basketball season tickets that did not hold season tickets during the 2016-17 season must complete the online ticket request form or call the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821). Following the renewal period, requests for new season tickets will be fulfilled and seated in VAF priority point order. |
